Christmas Party with Ruler Challenge

Pull out those rulers you bought and never used.  Make a project or two for the December meeting.  One can be used as a gift and one for the Boutique Table.  There will be voting on the projects and prizes.  Let's get creative! This is also our annual Holiday pot luck.  Appetizers and desserts provided by the guild members. Beverages will be provided by the guild.

Workshop with Amy Friend

This will be a workshop on Improvisational Paper Piecing.  This class is technique and design based, all about approaching your paper pieced block designs improvisationally. Bottles and Blooms workshop.  You can have a bit of Spring all year round after creating this cheerful wall hanging. During class, we will work on making the bottles and blooms and then you can choose whether you want to have a hand or machine quilted background or maybe even a piece of a vintage cutter quilt. Motherless Quilts trunk show.  This lecture features a lively trunk show and discussion about working with orphan blocks and tops. Mary will show numerous examples from her collection of multigenerational quilts and new quilts from unrelated blocks and tops. This lecture is a great source of ideas for completing projects from yesteryear. Workshop will be "Accidental Landscape's - Beaches."  Here is an introduction to creating landscapes "accidentally" using Karen's layered topstitching technique. These little beach scenes are quick and easy to make, no templates, not fuss - just free form rotary cutting and topstitched edges.
