Thankfully March is now over and Spring can finally begin! It’s been a rough month for weather but it should have provided you with a decent amount of sewing and quilting time. Try to finish up on your workshop projects that have been sitting dormant and get ready for those Spring workshops. We’ll be having a great workshop on April 7th, Bottles and Blooms, with Shannon Shirley, at St. Philomena’s School. No workshop is scheduled for May, however, we have our field trip to URI on May 12th. In June, Karen Eckmeier will conduct an Accidental Landscapes-Beaches workshop on June 8th at the Atria Aquidneck Place. We have openings available for both workshops, if you’re interested, please contact Lori Bessette.
For the members who are interested in an applique workshop, Connie Sue Haidle will conduct a workshop on September 8th. The workshop will be a combination workshop for beginner and intermediate appliquer’s. In October, Shirley Fisher will conduct a workshop, perfecting your applique skills on October 6th.
We hope to schedule a trapunto and sashiko combined workshop later this year. That will be another interesting workshop to attend, learning new techniques or perfecting your existing talents. You can download the newsletter here QBS April Newsletter
