SUMMARY:Mariner's Compass Workshop and Open Sew
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us Saturday May 3 to learn how to make Mariner’s Compass blocks as described by Robin Long during our previous meeting. Members do need to purchase the ruler and pattern book from Robin Long’s website\, www.robinruthdesign.com\, before being able to make the block\, as her technique to make the block requires a specific ruler. If you do not wish to make the Mariner’s Compass but want to join us anyway this event will also be an Open Sew Saturday. Bring your own projects and sewing machine to work on. The event itself costs $10 for anyone working on the Mariner’s Compass Block or working on Open Sew Saturday to cover the cost of renting the facility. We will all be sewing from 9am-3pm.

SUMMARY:QBS Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our QBS Monthly Meeting. Since this is the last meeting before our biennial Quilt Show\, the meeting is dedicated to organizing any last minute projects/volunteering for the show. The April fat quarter raffle color is spring/green. The guest speaker will be Robin Long\, of Robin ruth Designs via Zoom. She will be presenting her original strip piecing technique used to make Mariner’s compass quilts. Also\, QBS members will be able to purchase discounted tickets for the 2025 Quilt Show.Tickets will be $8 and will allow you to enter both days of the show. Discounted tickets are not available at the show itself\, only at the March and April meetings. Interested in joining? All new members are welcome!
