Marty Ornish

Tattered Splendor is a lecture and trunk show Zoom presentation of Marty-O’s series of couture gowns and wearable art garments created from abandoned or donated damaged, beyond repair, vintage quilts, lace and linens. She discusses the ethics of repurposing vintage textiles, sourcing these textiles, and her inspiration for an ongoing series of garments. Design decisions are discussed, as well as stabilization techniques that she has developed over the last few years.
